Updated April 3, 2020
We’ve Adjusted Our Clinic Hours For The Safety Of Our Clients And Staff.
As part of your family’s trusted healthcare team we are remaining open to serve your pets. However, with the rising threat of COVID-19 in our area, we will continue with our policy to restrict clients from gathering in our lobby as well as temporarily adjust our clinic hours.
Special Adjusted Hours:
Effective on Monday, April 6, 2020, our clinic will be operating with reduced hours to help limit the amount of exposure to COVID-19 for our clients and staff, while still offering critical pet care services.
Our adjusted hospital hours are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
In addition to adjusted clinic hours, we will continue with our updated protocol to limit the number of clients in our clinic and request that interactions with our staff take place via telephone, email or curbside when possible.
These are uncertain times for everyone, but please remember that pets are not immune to injuries, parasites, and other communicable diseases during this time. Be sure to continue to keep your pets up-to-date on vaccines (especially rabies) and continue monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention to help keep them safe and healthy. We are here to serve our community and to ensure that your animal companions continue to receive the care they need. As you know, pets are wonderful stress-relievers and we want to make sure we do all we can to make sure they stay happy and healthy during these challenging times. As a reminder, we are offering the following options for the care of your pet:
Curbside Pick-Up For Appointments
Please call us at (541) 636-9945 when you arrive for your appointment and a member of our team will meet you at the door or at the curb to pick-up your pet, go through the check-in process, and then take your pet inside for their scheduled appointment. Please make sure that dogs are on a leash and cats are in carriers. After dropping off your pet, we will perform a regular exam in one of our back treatment areas and our doctors will discuss your pet’s treatment plan with you from a safe, 6-foot distance, outside of the clinic lobby. Once your pet’s appointment is over, our staff will return your pet to you at the curb or your car.
Accommodations can be made for clients that need to accompany their pets into the exam room. However, only ONE client will be allowed in the exam room with their pet.
Curbside Pick-Up of Food and Medications
We strongly encourage you to purchase your pet’s food and medication either through our clinic or directly through our online pharmacy partner.
If your pet relies on medications or prescriptions diets, we recommend ensuring that you have enough supply to last through at least 2-3 weeks of a possible home quarantine situation. If you would like to order from the clinic, please call us at (541) 636-9945 to place an order. Note that it may take us 2-3 days to obtain large quantities of food or certain medications, so please plan ahead. We will have you pay over the phone and will bring your receipt and products directly to your car.
To better serve our clients and patients during this time, our doctors can provide telemedicine services for established patients when appropriate. There is a $30 fee for this service. Please call us at (541) 636-9945 to discuss if telemedicine is appropriate for your pet.
We are here to serve our community and to help your animal companions stay healthy. As you know, pets are wonderful stress-relievers and we want to make sure we do all we can to assist safely during these challenging times.
Please don’t hesitate to call us at (541) 636-9945 if you have questions or need assistance for your pet in any way. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we navigate through this process together.
Stay safe and stay well,
The Doctors and Staff at Sunriver Veterinary Clinic
